A Facebook Cry for Help

Sometimes people will post vague and ambiguous things on Facebook to gauge who out of their hundreds of online friends actually cares. If you are anything like I was, your first thought as you roll your eyes might be “Why aren’t they, as Carman once put it, ‘drinkin’ at the well?'” We have life giving water in Jesus that causes us to thirst no more and is available all of the time. But what I often overlook when making these snap judgments is that there is still real hurt or confusion associated with these messages. It may be a cry for help and they may be at a ‘lost in the desert’ point in their life where their well (their fellowship with God) is far off. Look to bring the well to others. Use your own life as a canteen to fill with God’s goodness to be ready to give the thirsty a drink.
