Give the Bigger Half of the Cookie
Look to the other person first. Give the bigger half of the cookie, the more comfortable chair, the last Coke, a larger share of the blanket, the tighter squeeze of the hug. Pretty soon the Golden Rule has the same courtesies returning back to you.
